The given course is meant to familiarize the 1st year students with the fundamentls of the English vocabulary study and acquisition, grammar revision and phonetic skills development, as well as subsequent practice of these in the translation process. The series of lectures based on the contemporary English neutral, formal, conversational, grammar - based and informative / interactive tasks will contribute to enhancing the communicative competence of the students attending these. The basic priorities of the course thus being established as the development of the foreign language students' capacities to master the basics of academic and conversational English, day-to-day communication, translation into the native language and critical opinion expression, it iaims primarily at developing oral and written communication fluency in an EFL acadmic classroom and translating English texts as the source data into the native target language of the learner as well.
